[ Meet the Staff ]

Jennifer Abegg joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ in 1999 as a writer with Worldwide Challenge. In addition, she is also now the editor of the Campus Crusade staff newsletter, Connection. Jennifer is from Loveland, Colorado, and she enjoys traveling, jet skiing, hiking and spending time with friends. For information about giving to Jennifer's ministry, click here.

Sherry Cumpstone has been with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1992 as the director of marketing. She directs the sales of gift subscriptions, bulk issues, advertising and other brand-enhancing products that benefit staff members and their ministry partners. Sherry is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, and she enjoys reading, sailing and tennis.

Conda De Vries has served with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1983. She began as the International Ministries receptionist (16 1/2 years), followed by assistant to the Director of International Human Resources (2 years), and as his assistant in Global Leadership Development (2+ years). Conda began working with Worldwide Challenge in 2005 as the Photo Administrator. She works with the photographers, selects photos for the magazine's Outlook section, and fills requests for images from staff and ministries. Guy Gerrard has been with Campus Crusade for Christ for 22 years, and he is the photo manager as well as a photographer. That means he manages the photography team, giving out assignments, looking over their work, and keeping deadlines met. He also still goes out on assignment and takes pictures of ministry in action. Guy is from Southern California and enjoys volleyball, bodysurfing and woodworking. Guy and his wife, Judy, have three children: Ben, Megan, and Nicole. Becky Hill joined Worldwide Challenge as a writer in 2001. She now serves as editor, coaching the magazine's award-winning team of writers. Becky grew up in Newton, Iowa, and also claims Corpus Christi, Texas as home. She loves traveling, laughing at almost everything, and is currently failing as a bowler. Greg Johnson has been with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1992. As the director of operations, Greg oversees the computers, Web site, human resource needs and budget for Worldwide Challenge. Originally from Clare, Michigan, Greg enjoys running, playing racquetball and fishing. He and his wife, Laurie, also enjoy working with the youth at their church. Chris Lawrence has been a writer with Worldwide Challenge since February 2003. A graduate of the University of Montana, his journalistic experience spans several newspapers, including the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His story assignments have taken him to places like Mongolia, where he feasted on mutton and met a man who didn't know the world was round. Tom Mills has been a photographer with Worldwide Challenge magazine for 30 years. He loves showing, through photography, what the Lord is doing through His people around the world. He is interested in reaching press photographers for Christ and helped found an outreach called Christians in Photojournalism. Originally from Torrance, California, Tom's interests include scuba diving and astronomy. He and his wife, Karen, have three sons, Daniel, Jonathan and Andrew. Christy Morgan has served with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1999. As Worldwide Challenge's assistant managing editor, she helps to oversee each issue from planning to printing. Christy has worked with Campus Crusade in Siberia, Virginia, and Moscow, Russia. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry. Judy Nelson graduated from James Madison University in Virginia and immediately joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ in 1990. She began as a writer with Worldwide Challenge, and became editor in chief in 1999. As editor in chief, she oversees all processes of the magazine including editorial, marketing, and circulation. Terri Oesterreich has been with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1976. As Graphic Designer, Terri's work often involves doing projects for Campus Crusade ministries and individuals outside of Worldwide Challenge. Terri graduated from Kansas State University, and she lived in California for 14 years before moving to Florida. Terri loves being involved with the music and drama ministry at her church, as well as watching movies and looking through all kinds of magazines.

Stephanie Reeves has been with Campus Crusade for Christ for 20 years. Starting off as a writer for Worldwide Challenge, she moved to assistant editor, copyeditor and finally production manager until her first child was born in 1996. Now at home with three children, Justin, Nathan and Morgan, Stephanie keeps her proofreading skills honed by serving as senior copy editor, and still writes whenever she has the time. She and her husband, David, enjoy tandem bike riding, reading, Little League baseball and time with the kids. Stephanie also serves as family archivist by scrapbooking whenever she can. Rich Wiewiora has been with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1976, and he serves as copy editor and coordinator for Worldwide Challenge. As a copy editor, Rich helps to maintain the high quality of Worldwide Challenge's witness by checking the writer's stories before they are published. In addition, he coordinates all the editorial team's proofing, edits and accuracy checks for each issue's feature articles. Rich was born in England and grew up in Chicago. He loves swimming, playing chess, visiting museums, talking to people from other countries. He likes reading about history and world news and also enjoys comic strips and jokes so as not to take life too seriously. He and his wife, Ruthie, served overseas for 16 years, primarily in Poland. Mark Winz and his wife, Anne Marie, have been with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1984. As Worldwide Challenge's managing editor, Mark oversees each issue from planning through printing. Mark and Anne Marie have traveled to 10 countries together and written articles for six different publications. Mark is from Holdrege, Nebraska and Anne Marie is from Malvern, Pennsylvania. Mark enjoys photography and Anne Marie loves gardening and stamping. They have two children: Michael (14) and Bethany (11).
